Tips and Tricks for Audi Owners

As Audi car owners, we know how much you love your luxury cars, so we've compiled a list of tips and tricks that we think will enhance your driving experience.

Please note that some of these tricks are only available on specific Audi models.

Keychain Shortcuts

Pressing and holding the unlock button for 2/3 seconds will open all windows and mirrors including sunroof if equipped. Then if you want to close it again, press the lock button for 2/3 seconds.

pinch the window

Press and hold window up for 5 seconds, immediately press down to fully open window and hold for 5 seconds while down, then immediately close and hold fully up, the pinch control is now memorized.

Throttle Body Alignment

Before the starter engages, insert the key and turn the key, fully depress the accelerator pedal, wait 3 seconds, turn the key all the way back but do not remove it. Release accelerator pedal and wait 2 minutes, then remove key, reinsert and start. The car should notice better response when pressing the gas pedal (do this action every few weeks)

Automatically tilting the passenger mirror

Set the driver's door mirror switch to the passenger position. Then put it in reverse and once you've done so you should be able to see the mirror tilt down showing you the curb. (May not work on some cars depending on model and age)

Climate Control

Press and hold the driver's car button for 4 seconds and release. You should now be able to control both temperatures using the driver's side + & - buttons.

To reset and return to individual control, just use the passenger's + & - buttons

Toggle the instrument display

Turn the instrument display on and off by double pressing the reset button.

deboss

On the radio, press and hold the menu button until you get to the Nav/Radio menu or something, turn it all the way to the zero position and press the button again. The system has been deactivated and the bass is loud.

Luggage hanger in trunk

Most Audi trunks have a hook at the top of the trunk that you can pull down to act as a handle for luggage or shopping bags that you don't want to move while driving. There is also another space for a second coat hanger, which can be installed if desired.
